The most unique stay on the Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast is home to some of the most amazing beaches, rainforests, walking trails and adrenaline-filled activities. And now, it is home to one of the most unique and luxurious hotel stays to enjoy in Australia. Now calling Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort home, the Grand Overwater Bungalow is a brand-new addition to the diverse range of accommodation options available at the resort. Let us take you for a tour around the incredible space and show you why you need to experience this room for yourself.
A Unique Masterpiece
Prior to the construction of the Grand Overwater Bungalow, Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort offered guests traditional hotel rooms and suites, along with the beautifully appointed original overwater Bungalows. Expanding the Overwater Bungalow family offers our guests a new luxurious accommodation experience when they stay on the Sunshine Coast. Previously home to the resort gym and day spa, the Grand Overwater Bungalow boasts enviable water views, 5m high atrium ceilings and dreamy privacy. The only accommodation option to offer 3 private king bedrooms and 2 master bathrooms, the grand bungalow also features 2 patios and separate living and dining areas – the [perfect amount of space for the entire family to enjoy.
Built with care
The resort appointed Brisbane based construction firm iQ Construct to be trusted with executing the design by Medhurst Architects. Connecting the build to the local area was incredibly important to the team, where we worked with local furniture and design stores to achieve a calming coastal environment with a premium and luxurious resort quality. Many pieces were sourced from Coolum small business Nomadi, Provincial Home Living at Maroochydore, Eclectic Style Noosa, Remarkable Furniture in Maroochydore and so many more (thank you to all the teams who helped bring our ideas to life!). To elevate the coastal aesthetic of the space, local artist Tracy Naughton (Let Me Sea) was commissioned to decorate the walls. Throughout the space, the grand bungalow features photographs of Sunshine Coast destinations, showcasing the region to our guests. Tracy’s work is also featured in the original overwater bungalows and new executive rooms.
Space for all; an experience to treasure together
Escaping to the Sunshine Coast is an experience most families look forward to and ensuring this experience is as enjoyable and memorable as possible is at the heart of what we do. Creating a space that a family of more than 4 people can enjoy was a priority for the team. With 3 king bedrooms, the Grand Bungalow can comfortably sleep 6 adults with the opportunity to book an additional 2x guests on the queen pull out sofa bed. Privacy and space for all family members to enjoy is possible with two separate living spaces. Whether travelling with kids or a group of friends, there are two large screen televisions with comfortable seating spaces to allow all guests the chance to unwind and relax within their own space. In addition, the large kitchenette features full sized fridge/ freezer with dishwasher and sink to make your stay just that bit more comfortable.
Coined by Weekender, the Grand Bungalow is the most lavish stay on the Sunshine Coast, and a bucket list item to tick off your next Sunshine Coast holiday. Experience it for yourself and tell us about your thoughts on the stay. Looking for a hot deal? Talk to our Reservations team about the best available offer on this premium room.
